This is a process of continuous cutting, in which the profile of the tap thread is created on the worked part. To summarize, the tap is composed by a cylindrical part and a chamfer. 攻丝是通过机器加工排掉内部碎屑来获取螺纹的过程。这是一个连续切削的过程，用丝锥在工件上创建螺纹形状。丝锥包含圆柄和切削部分。 The whole process of chip removal is made by the chamfer while the cylindrical part of the tap is just a guide. The requested thread profile is carried out in different stages: each tooth of the chamfer contributes to the chip section removal up to obtain the full profile of the thread.
