Procedures:
Step 1 Warm- up
1. Ask some students to answer the question “What is your favorite food?
2. Teach the students some useful expressions about food and dishes.
Step 2 Listening
Listening 1
Let the students know the words and expressions: prefer, fry, chicken, spicy, treat, relaxing, go Dutch.
Listen to the tape twice and check the answers.
Step 3 Speaking
Dialogue 1
Let the students complete the dialogue with the words given in the box.
Check the answers.
Pay more attention to: prefer, fry, chicken, spicy, treat, relaxing, go Dutch.
Read the dialogue after the tape/ in groups/ in pairs.
Ask some pairs to act out.
Step 4 Practicing
Role Play 1
Practice: A: What about eating out/ having a dancing party/ having a walk in the park?
B: That sounds fun/ wonderful/ relaxing.
Step 5 Conclusion
Draw a conclusion of this lesson.
Homework
Remember and copy words, phrases and important sentences.
