高二期中年级秀优作文
Born in Darvel, Scotland on Aug. 6th, in 1881, Alexander Fleming was one of the greatest scientists and a few pioneers of the 20th century.
In his lifetime, he was always eager to know how things worked and because of his diligence and curiosity, he made great contribution to the world. At the age of 23, he obtained Intermediate MB from London University. Two years later, he got the degree of both MRCS and LRCP. In 1929, he made biology’s greatest breakthrough of the century—Penicillin mold fungus, which was mass-produced a few years later and helped to save the lives of millions. Later, he worked as professor at London University. Owing to his great discovery, he was awarded Nobel Prize in 1945. He died in London at 74.
There’s no doubt that without his pioneering contribution, the world today would have been a completely different place.(147)
高二10 郭子豪
There are many world-recognised scientist throughout the history and Alexander Fleming who has received universal approval is my favorite.
Alexander Fleming was born in Darvel on August,6th, 1881. When he was in college, he was so talented and industrious that he obtained the Intemediate MB of studying in the London University. Two years later, he got the MRCS and LRCP of study again and all these won him good reputation around the whole world. Everyone believed that he deserved it. In 1938, he became the professor of St Mary’s Hospital of the London University successfully and he made every effort to make contributions to the hospital and his school. Unfortunately, the god took his life away in London on March 11th, 1955.
As for his achievements, it is advisable for everyone to know. The Penicillin which is useful today was found by him in 1929. He thought he was obliged to devote himself to science research and he eventually won the Nobel Prize by the spirit of never giving up in 1945.
Beyond a shadow of doubt, Alexander Fleming has set an example for us. He invariably won the respect and love from others,
