Module Two Developing and Developed Countries 一、教学内容与教学目的 学习人类发展报告，对发达国家和发展中国家的情况进行对比和分析，并总结出自己的观点。 二、语言技能目标 （1）听。识别含有所学生词、词汇和比较成分的句子和段落，听懂对地区特色进行描述和对比的语句和段落并获取信息。 （2）说。通过所学的生词，流利说出发展中和发达国家的主要区别，熟练地介绍地区特色并与类似的城镇比较。 （3）读。朗读课文并获取信息。理解本模块提供的和来自其他资源的对不同国家和地区的介绍和对比以及对贫富差别的分析，并获取信息。 （4）写。熟练的用本模块的单词自如地对地区和城市对比。 三、教学手段 课件教学，师生互动 四、教学步骤 (Teaching-Procedure) Step I Representation As we all know, there are two kinds of countries in the world. If the country is rich, we call it developed country; if the country is poor, we call it developing country. With the rapid progress of the world, the differences become more and more obvious. Now, what are the differences between them? Let’s come to the text, The Human Development Report, to know the differences between them. Step II Scanning Read the text quickly and silently and try to find the answer to the following questions. 1.What did world leaders agree to do in 2000? 2.What does the Human Development Index measure? Step III Fill in the form What’s the result? Which countries are at the top? Which countries are at the bottom? Please read the second paragraph aloud and try to find the answers. What are the differences? Let’s look the following numbers. Ok , try to read the fourth paragraph aloud and find out what happened to each number. 13; 150; 80%; 799; 115; 1 billion E.g. China increased life expectancy by 13 years. We can see from the form there are lots of problems in the developing countries. We should try our best to get rid of them just like this: ?Reduce poverty and hunger. ?Make sure that all children can have education up to th
