The Cultural Corner in this module introduces to us people’s predictions about the future.These predictions has turned out to be absurd,so it is very interesting to read and thus attract the students.However,it can also make the students think about this question;How do we treat the development of the world?In dealing with this part the teacher may decide the Teaching Methods.If time permits,intensive reading is necessary;but if not,extensive reading,fast reading or skimming is also OK.And the Task of this module is to describe one’s ideal house for the future.You may first ask the students to draw a picture of the house and a plan of the rooms inside.And then the students are encouraged to say what each room in the house is and any interesting features it will have.The better ones may demonstrate their works to the whole class. Finally we will have a review of this module in the Module File.This part is a summary of this module.It may help the students to know whether they have mastered the main points or not.If time permits,the teacher may analyze this part and consolidate it with some exercises.
