作者介紹 學校:新興國小 班級:六年丙班 姓名:余采玲 目錄 前言 交通工具的種類 交通事故的發生原因與類型 交通安全的重要性 結論與心得 資料來源 前言 學童交通安全是校園安全的重要課題之一。資料顯示，國民小學校園意外事件中，以交通事故死亡人數所佔比例居首，達三分之一以上；五至十四歲學齡兒童因運輸事故死亡之比例佔所有死亡原因亦達百分之廿至百分之廿五之間，顯見交通事故對於學童安全之重大威脅與危害。向為國人詬病的交通環境中，行人顯居弱勢，未成年之學童因身心發育仍未臻完全，更屬弱勢中之劣勢，致常成為交通事故之犧牲者。在倡議「人本」、「尊重行人」口號價響的今天，如何落實安全的交通環境，保護弱勢，即成為交通專業者首應關切與努力之目標。 學童交通事故多發生於上下學途中，地點則多在居家或學校附近。小學之設置係以「鄰里單元」為規劃之指導，在理想的情況下，小學生應能自行安全地步行上學，然而實際情況並非如此，常見社區交通系統凌亂，行人設施付之闕如，行人與車輛以及路邊停車競逐有限的道路空間，特別是學童上下學期間，益顯威脅。另由於教育資源分配不均，部分家長迷信明星學校，「跨區就讀」現象層出不窮；或因新開發地區居住人口稀疏，不足以支持新學校運作；或因學校歷史悠久，學生數量龐大，有如天文數字等等；諸多原因，造成今日學童必須由家長以汽機車接送到校，更加重校園周遭交通問題。面對此一嚴峻考驗，實有賴政府交通與教育主管機關、學校師長、家長與社區共同努力，儘速謀求改善之道。  preface School traffic safety is an important issue for campus safety.
