Period 2 Reading and Vocabulary 整体设计 教材分析 本课时通过学习词汇, 阅读介绍欧洲著名城市巴黎、巴塞罗那、佛罗伦萨和雅典, 了解其地理位置、文化和艺术特色。练习阅读技巧, 理解文章大意, 学习课文重点短语和句子。最后的讨论能很好地训练学生的总结能力和对话能力。 三维目标 1. 知识与技能 1)Train students’ reading ability. 2)Learn some useful words and expressions. 3)Learn some information about European cities. 2. 过程与方法 1)Make students know more about some European cities. 2)Encourage them to find ways to express location. 3. 情感与价值 Through the study of this period students will surely have a better understanding of some European cities. As the builders of a future world, it is a must for them to know more about the world we live in. 教学重点 1. Help students to understand the passage better. 2. Learn and master some important words and phrases in this period. 教学难点 1. How to help students improve their reading ability and understand the passage better. 2. How to master the important language points in this passage. 教学方法 1. Fast reading to get the general idea of the text. 2. Intensive reading to understand the passage better. 3. Discussion to help students understand what they’ve learned better. 4. Explanation to help students master some language points. 教学过程 → Step 1 Greetings and Revision 1. Greet students as usual. 2.
