Mr. Anderson Email: wanderson1@kleinisd.net Testing Days: Wednesday and Friday Class supplies Spiral Notebook (150 or more Pages; College Ruled; plastic cover (any color) Glue sticks Notebook paper pens (you may only use black pen on ALL maps) #2 pencils Map pencils Map pencil sharpener Scissors/markers (you may use these supplies in your other classes as well) *some supplies will need to be replaced throughout the year* Scope Sequence 1st 6 Weeks – The Geographer’s Eye and The Physical World 2nd 6 Weeks – Economic Development 3rd 6 Weeks – Urbanization 2nd Semester 4th 6 weeks – Human Mosaic 5th 6 weeks – Population Migration; Political Geography 6th 6 weeks – Globalization Grading Guidelines 60% Major Grades (Tests, Projects, etc.) 40% Daily/Homework Grades Late work policy: 1 day late = 15 points off 2 days late = 30 points off 3 days late or more = you may turn in for correction and completion, but it will not be counted for a grade 2nd Chance Policy: Students may retake failing major grades. The student must contact the teacher on the day that the test is returned to retake the test on a specific day. To retake the test, students must complete test corrections from the original test and assigned review work from the teacher. All work must be completed and turned in before the student retakes the test. If the work is not completed or turned in, no retest will be offered. The highest grade that can be achieved through retesting or redoing a major grade project is a 70.
