Ltd., Shanghai 200432, China) Astract The construction and operation principle of a long melting life water-cooled cupola was described. The reasons causing water leakage at tuyeres and slag accumulation on the wall above melting zone was analyzed. Based on the production practice, the construction of the 15 t/h long melting life water -cooled cupola and its melting process parameters were continuously improved.
