The purpose of the Design Guidelines is to describe and specify the minimum building infrastructure required to support the communications and networking requirements at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Architects, engineers and designers should use these Design Guidelines to incorporate the information provided into Construction Documents. This document is based on industry standards and codes. This document does not replace any national or local standards, regulations or codes, but enhances them.
