ROYAL BOTANIC GARDEN EDINBURGH MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMME EDINBURGH FRIENDS COMMITTEE MINUTES of the Eight Annual General Meeting held in the Lecture Theatre, RBGE, 20a Inverleith Row, Edinburgh at 6.30pm on Thursday 23rd April 2009. Present: Sandy Laver (Convener), Caroline Pearson (Vice Convener), Fiona Smart (Secretary) Tim Robinson, Vicki Reid Thomas, Peter Tothill, Richard Watson, Heather Jackson (Head of Commerce Development) and approximately 60 members. 1. Apologies The apologies received were intimated. 2. Minutes of the seventh AGM held on 12th April 2008 The Minutes were approved and signed. Matters Arising There were no matters arising. Convener’s Report The Convener presented her Report for the year, copies of which were available at the Meeting, were on the web-site and are attached to these Minutes (Appendix 1). She expressed her thanks to Tim Robinson for continuing in his role as Convener when circumstances had prevented her from taking over in the early part of the year. Thanks were also noted to the Junior School of The Edinburgh Academy for providing at short notice accommodation for the Plant Sale due to restrictions in the use of the Garden Nursery because of the Phytophthora virus. This accommodation will also be used for the forthcoming Plant
