But the challenges to managing currency have increased over time. Given the expansion of the economy and the growing needs for banknotes and coins, the task of currency management has become increasingly complex. Study of the logistics of currency in India and China is a case study for marketers and academicians alike, as it represents the best logistics and distribution system for any product or commodity that can be seen in any country. Especially in diverse countries like India and China. Distribution of fresh notes as well as withdrawal and destruction of soiled notes constitute the core of the currency management operations of the central bank of a country. This paper tries to give a structure of how the Herculean task of reaching the entire geographical spread of both India and China. The paper also studies the supply chain from manufacturing (Printing press mint) to the last point of the chain the distribution to the users / consumers along with the challenges that are faced in distribution.
