Application Procedures Applications to Yale Summer Session - New Haven and the English Language Institute are now available. Please read all of the important information on this page, then follow the links at the bottom of the page to apply. Students must complete the general application and the application for housing and meals on line. This process requires students to pay the application fee with a credit card. All other required documentation listed below (recommendations, transcripts, writing samples, test scores, etc.) must be submitted separately. Applications will not be considered complete and will not be processed until all supporting materials are received. Printed versions of the application forms will not be accepted. Please see the?calendar?for application deadlines. Materials must be postmarked by the due date. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Students are notified when their applications are complete. Applications for most programs are reviewed on a rolling basis, and students are notified in writing as soon as a decision has been made, usually within two to three weeks after the application is complete or by the published notification date. The application process is competitive; students are admitted based on academic qualifications. Decisions will not be given over the telephone. International students should note that their application deadlines are earlier than those of U.S. citizens and permanent residents. This is to allow adequate time for the processing of student visas and the receipt of payments. Please be aware that the amount of time required for the processing of a visa varies from country to country and will take a minimum of three weeks.
