HIGHLIGHTS
? Two Ag and Ni oxalate precursors (plates and particles) have been synthesized, and the formation mechanisms were investigated.
? Ag and Ni oxalate can thermal decompose into metallic Ag-Ni alloys at 400 °C in Ar, without further reduction in H2 gas.
? The sample reinforced by Ni plates shows a high electrical conductivity of 91.4 %IACS.
? The sample reinforced by dispersed nickel particles exhibits a better antiarc performance than that reinforced by Ni plates.
