教案示例 Unit 16 Lesson 61 Dialogue Lesson objectives: 1.Students will know what they should do when a fire breaks out. 2.Grasp words and expressions: might, collect, catch fire, look out, operator, in that case. Teaching aids: a computer, a recorder, a pan, match, alcohol burner, gas stove, etc. Teaching procedure: A.Preparation 1.Revision The teacher takes out a match and an alcohol burner, then lights the alcohol burnt. Ask some questions: Whats this? (Match and alcohol burner.) /What will happen when I light the alcohol burner? (Fire.) /What can we do using fire? (Fire can make us warm and we can-use fire to cook.) /What do you like to cook? (Egg and tomato soup; meatballs; egg-plants; beans; carrots etc. ) /What would happen when you cook without care? (A fire would break out.) /If a fire breaks out, what should you do? (Let students imagine) Now lets look at what Jenny and Yang Pei should do. (Lead to the topic.) 2.Presentation 1) Listen to the dialogue and do Ss AB Ex. Ⅰ. 2) Present words and expressions. Give six sentences (in Ss AB Ex. Ⅱ) to ask students to guess what the underlined words mean. Then match the words on the left with the one on the right. (also in computer) Match the word on the left with the one on the right. (1)The pan was so hot that the oil in it caught fire. (2)If a fire breaks out in a hotel, you mustnt collect your things first. (3)Look out! Its dangerous. (4)The cloud is so dark. It might rain. (5)In that case, the building would be on fire. (6) If you discover a fire, please telephone the operator. Possible answers: 3.Here the teacher can make a situation in order to lead to the topic: Suppose Jane also likes cooking. Today is Janes birthday. She wants to cook delicious food for us, and she asks B to help her. Suddenly a fire breaks out, what will they do? Ill give you two minutes to prepare, and ask one pair or two to act it out. Begin like this: A: Happy birthday, Jane. J: Thank you. Welcome to my home. I want to cook delicious
