To upgrade SW on a DMG1000 or DMG2000 unit: If upgrading a DMG1000 unit to a Version 5.0 or greater software release, please verify that your DMG1000 hardware can support the upgrade. Your DMG1000 hardware can support the upgrade if it’s serial number is greater than or equal to the serial number listed in the Table below for the given DMG1000 model type: DMG1000 Model Name Minimum Serial Number supporting V5.0 Software Upgrades DMG1008DNI IP006669 DMG1008MTLDNI IP006957 DMG1008RLMDNI IP006957 DMG1008LS IP006578 Note 1: All DMG2000 models support Version 5.0 or greater Note 2: If your unit is currently loaded with a Version 4.0 based release (e.g. 4.0 Service Update 1 (SU1), 4.0 SU2, etc.), then you will need to upgrade to Version 5.0 SU1 before loading Version 5.1or greater. The 5.0 SU1 files and upgrade instructions can be found at /support/helpweb/mg/downloads.htm Copy the files to upgrade to a Windows workstation that can access the DMG1000/DMG2000 via the DMG1000/DMG2000 Web interface. Connect to the DMG1000/DMG2000 via the web interface and logon. Select the Upgrade web page from the Configure menu. Click the “Browse ...” button and select the appropriate *.fsh file for the model being upgraded (see Table below for list of files that need to be upgraded for each DMG1000/DMG2000 model). Click the Install button to upload the file. The DMG1000/DMG2000 will respond once the upgrade is complete. Do Not Restart or Power Cycle the unit. Select the Upgrade web page from the Configure menu. Click the “Browse ...” button to select the next file to upgrade (see Table below for list of files that need to be upgraded for each DMG1000/DMG2000 model) Click the Install button to upload the file.
