It focuses on music and different music styles, which are also the focuses of other parts in this unit. If we start with music and different music styles as well as some famous singer, bands, it will be easier to arouse students’ interests. However, the Monkees is not so familiar a band for them, so the students need a lot more time to find out relevant information. Meanwhile, the success of the Monkees is quite inspiring and encouraging, through which we can inspire the students to pursue their own dreams and study harder. 　　The students in Grade One Class Twelve are pretty active in class, though their English levels vary from each other. With the development of science and technology, they, as high-school students, also pay more attention to the nature of things, the practical knowledge and different cultures except for the language study and skills.
