He went to live in Paris in his twenties and then became famous. His most famous books are The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo. His son was also a successful novelist. Basic Information On February 24th 1815, a ship sails into Marseille, the largest port in the south of France. A young man is standing on the deck, giving careful orders to the sailors.
