Feb. 2000 98441113147 Datasheet Universal Pulse Interface Seite 1 www.sig-positec.de made by General Description The TL UPI (Universal Pulse Interface) is an interface adapter for the pulse/direction interface or Pulse-C module of a Twin Line Unit and a master control unit (e.g. PLC). It should be mounted as close as possible to the Twin Line Unit by a simple snap-on connection to a DIN rail. The connection between Twin Line Unit and TL UPI can be effected by means of a standard Pulse-C cable. The TL UPI offers several alternatives for wiring signal connections. The 24 V supply to the TL UPI is made via Phoenix terminals. Safety Notes ACHTUNG ATTENTION The interface cables with Sub-D connector must be screened. Good electrical connection must be made between the screen and the connector housing. Cable screens must be connected at both ends. The I/O cable screen can be connected by means of Phoenix terminals. ACHTUNG ATTENTION For reasons of interference protection, the length of the Pulse-C cable is limited to max. 3 m.
