Step 1: Brainstorm
Ask students to watch a series of pictures and try to remember them. Then ask them to put the food into different groups.

Step 2: Lead in
1. T asks: What do you usually have for breakfast / lunch / supper?
Do you think if you have a healthy lifestyle?
If not, what do you do to keep fit?
2. Ask students to think over something about Kitty and Daniel and ask
What does Kitty / Daniel have for breakfast / lunch / supper?
Do Kitty and Daniel have a healthy lifestyle?
Step 3: Presentation
Ask students to read Simon’s article carefully and answer the following questions.
Why does Simon play football?
What helps Simon start the day well?
Which meal gives Simon energy for the whole afternoon?
What does Simon often have for dinner?
Ask students to read the article again and try to fill in the blanks in the table without referring to the book.
Read the article aloud together and then ask and answer questions about Simon’s lifestyle with his/her partner.
Step 4: Writing
Ask students to finish the table on Page 79.
Ask students to write an article about his/her lifestyle. Tell students that they can divide the article into several parts and try to use the useful expressions on Page 78.
Show some students’ articles and correct the mistakes if there are any.
Step 5: Homework
Finish writing and correct the mistakes in the article.
Finish off the exercises.
