Puppet play is characterized by dolls performance，complementing the melody of the dolls in artists’hands with the help of their timbres, which sings by means of the Lingao dialect. It’s mainly popular in the northwest of Hainan island and the surroundings, such as Chengmai, Danzhou, Haikou city and other cities and counties where people mainly speak Lingao dialect.
