Cultural Difference in Etiquette Between China and the West 摘 要 随着社会的发展，礼仪教育在我国愈益普遍。了解中西方文化礼仪的差别将有助于我们同西方的交流与合作，有助于我们树立中国在国际上的形象。本文主要介绍中西方礼仪表现出的差异，并从文化背景、价值取向、宗教信仰等方面分析影响中西礼仪差异的因素。首先阐述了东西方礼仪起源，礼仪的存在对双方的价值与意义。礼仪在古时及现今存在于东西方的形式。之后探究了东西方文化对礼仪的影响，这方面主要是从社会的交易模式和东西方社会的个人信仰、宗教信仰来说明的。第四章开始详细地对比了东西方在日常生活中社交礼仪的差别。最后得出“和而不同”的态度来对待中西礼仪文化差异。 关键词： 文化，礼仪，对比 ABSTRACT With the development of society, etiquette education in our country is widely spread. The understanding of the differences in etiquette between China and the west will help to strengthen our exchanges and cooperation with the west, and to establish the good image of China in the word. This paper mainly introduces the differences in etiquette between China and the west, analyzes the factors influencing the differences such as cultural background, value orientation, religious belief and so forth. First, this paper describes the origin of the eastern and western etiquettes, the value and significance of the existence of etiquette to east and west, and the existing form of etiquette in the east and west in ancient and modern times. In the fourth chapter a comparison is made in social etiquette between the east and west in detail---behaviors in daily life and everyday conversation.
