DV 511 IN THE TREATMENT OF SKIN CONDITIONS Prof. Shoji SASAGAWA CONCLUSIONS We treated, with DV 511, seven cases of burns and scalding, four cases of common acne, infantile dermatitis, contact dermatitis, two cases of acute eczema, eczema nummularis, domestic dermatitis, nappy rash and another case of keratodermia tylodes palmaris progressiva, 30 cases in total. With respect to the burns and scalds, the ulcerated surface became clean and the epithelisation was so rapid that the scar formation was accelerated. In the same way, the wet erosive surfaces of the acute eczema, the dermatitis nummularis, the infantile eczema, the nappy rash and the contact dermatitis, equally, led to epithelisation and thus dried out, but there were differences in the time required for each to be effective. In the case of the acne vulgaris, the domestic dermatitis and the keratodermia tylodes palmaris progressiva, a certain degree of effectiveness was observed together with a softening of the skin. Certain patients noted a reaction to this medication in the form of a burning sensation, when it was applied to an ulcerated, erosive surface. In conclusion, this medication suits not only the ulcerated, erosive surfaces of burns or scalds, but also surfaces similar to eczema and other forms of dermatitis. Therefore, considering all the results that we have obtained from the above cases, we may suppose that the ulcerated and erosive surfaces of decubitus, perniosis and trauma can equally be treated with DV 511. CONCLUSIONS From many experimental trials of DV 511 on second and third degree burns and scalds, we reported some cases. As the conclusions of these effects on treatments, cleaning of ulcerated surface, rapid epithelisat
