It is assumed that the minimum total number of hours of study in this module is 5 hours per week for each of the 24 weeks over the two semesters. A typical week would therefore comprise: Lecture: 1 hour Seminar: 1 hour Private Study: 3 hours, including reading, seminars and preparation of assignments. Total: 5 hours Inevitably some elements of private study will have greater weighting at different stages of the semesters. It is important that you follow this pattern from the first week: failure to do so is likely to lead to problems in successfully completing the module. The module aims to provide an understanding of international business and trade theories and their significance for the activities and operations of international firms. It also examines differing cultural values and the influences that these may have on business decisions.
