OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR The oxygen concentrator is an electrically powered machine that separates the oxygen from the nitrogen in the atmosphere. The result is a high level of oxygen that nears 100%. The concentrator provides an endless supply of oxygen. With the concentrator, you will not have to worry about running out of oxygen or waiting for oxygen deliveries. A backup cylinder of oxygen is provided in case of machine malfunction or power failures. We provide 24 hour assistance to respond to your concerns or equipment problems. Since your oxygen is powered by electricity, you will want to notify your electric provider that you are on an electrical oxygen concentrator. In the event of a power failure, you will be given priority response. How to turn on the Concentrator: 1. Plug the concentrator directly into a properly grounded wall outlet. Don’t use extension cords. 2. When using the concentrator, keep it in an area where the cabinet filters are free and clear of obstacles. Never operate the machine in a small enclosed space, such as a closet. 3. Push the rocker switch, located on the front of the machine, to the ‘on’ position. 4. You will briefly hear a beeping noise as the machine is powering up. 5. Adjust the flow meter to (______l/m) which is the flow rate that was prescribed by your doctor. Do Not Change this flow rate, unless you are directed to do so by your doctor. Please notify our office if your doctor makes any changes in your oxygen flow rate. a. To correctly set the flow rate, be sure you are at eye level with the flow meter. Turn the flow knob until the middle of the ball is directly centered over your prescribed flow rate. 6.
