Every OS have different history and different hardware implementation. Popularity of Windows operating system is on a very high level but, today, Linux has approval that ?quality software“ doesn’t means necessarily commercially successful software. The main problem is the usage of various application programs under OS. Linux and Windows operating systems and their aplications are not compatible because of different kernel, different File Systems and execute program code. That means that the users have to decide which OS they will use depending on economical and financial possibilities. Problem of using applications under different operating systems can be solved by emulator programs on both of Windows and Linux platforms. Examples are programs such Wine and Wabi on Linux platforms and WMware on both of platforms. Emulators offer possibility to execute different application and programs (even instalation of operating systems) on a platforms that they were not previouslly wiritten. Decrease of information technology expenses can be achieved by choosing less expensive operating systems and appropriate emulators. That is the good economical and financial reason why we have to think about usage of emulator programs.
