This is unacceptable and Energy Coal businesses have focused their efforts on fatality prevention, behavioural safety and safety leadership (including operating discipline) as this is critical to improving our safety performance. Energy Coal had three significant environmental incidents during the year, all at Ingwe operations and all related to the discharge of poor quality water. This has resulted in a review of long-term water management strategy including treatment alternatives.
