The paper contents five parts. Definition, architecture, the key technologies, perspective of IOT has been discussed in detail. INTRODUCTION The Internet of Things(IOT) is deemed the third revolutionary innovation after computer and Internet of information industry, having attracted highly attention of governments, erterprises and academia. Information industry expect it to bring a new economic tide. At the same time, educationists claim that IOT will keep pace with electron,communication and computer as a new subject. Since the development of IOT is just at the starting line, so whether it will turn into a flash in the pan in the following years? Ⅱ. ORIGIN AND DEFINITION The term IOT was first used by Kewin Ashton from American in 1999. The concept of the IOT first became popular through the Auto-ID center which proposed a kind network system based on Radio-frequency identification(RFID). Ashtons original definition was: Today computers—and, therefore, the Internet—are almost wholly dependent on human beings for information. Nearly all of the roughly 50 petabytes (a petabyte is 1,024 terabytes) of data available on the Internet were first captured and created by human beings—b
