Analysis of the text
1 Pre-reading is to focus the students on one of their basic foods—rice. The questions try to arouse the students for a better understanding of the text.
2 Reading introduces an agricultural pioneer named Yuan Longping who works hard to produce a new strain of rice. This hybrid strain of rice produces a higher amount of rice from the same area of land. So Dr Yuan makes a great contribution to society.
Analysis of the students
Students live a happy life without caring the money and food, but in our daylily life, it also has a group of people lives in huger. We should try our best to let the students know the fact and pay attention to the achievements of Dr Yuan.
Teaching aims:
