Key Findings
The overall Internet security situation was good in mainland China.
According to sample monitoring results, about 2.14 million computers were
infected with malware. 2 new malware family were detected, which was 1
more than that of last week. 31 government websites (.) were
defaced, 52.3% less than that of last week. 102 new vulnerabilities were
recorded with 1 more than that of last week, including 56 high-risk
vulnerabilities that increased by 10.
Malware Activities
The amount of infected computers in mainland China was about 2.14 million.
Out of the total number, 103,000 were controlled by Trojan horse or Botnet,
increased by 5.8%. 2.04 million were infected by Conficker.
The map below illustrates distribution of computers controlled by Trojan
horse and Botnet in mainland China. The regions in red were most seriously
affected. Thus, the top 3 were Guangdong province with 12,000, Jiangsu
province with over 10,000 and Zhejiang province with about 7,000,
accounting for about 11.9%, 9.8% and 6.9% respectively.

CNCERT collected a large number of new malware samples via various
channels. There came out 102 new malware names, decreasing by 12%
