China Construction Bank (Asia) Title-sponsored “Lifeline Express CCB (Asia) Charity Run/Walk 2012”
Joining Over 2,000 Athletes in Bringing Hope of Light to Underprivileged Cataract Patients in Mainland China
HONG KONG – November 28, 2012 – China Construction Bank (Asia) [“CCB (Asia)”] title-sponsored the
signature fund raising activity for the Lifeline Express Eye-hospital Train for the second year, organizing
with Lifeline Express and the Clearwater Bay Golf Country Club the “Lifeline Express CCB (Asia) Charity
Run/Walk 2012”, and raising over HKD 2.5 million by more than 2,000 athletes on November 24, 2012 for
Lifeline Express.
Lifeline Express Chairman Chan Kwok Chiu expressed his gratitude to all
participating organizations at the event for the support and the funding
provided to the Lifeline Express Eye-hospital Train. He said for the past 15
years, Lifeline Express Eye-hospital Train has been devoting to help bring
eyesight to the cataract patients who live in the remote areas of Mainland
China, and so far, over 130,000 cataract patients have received free
surgical operations on the Eye-hospital Train and started a new page in life
with regained eyesight. With continued support from the society and public,
