[Methods] A randomized single-blind trial method, 118 cases of patients with simple obesity treatment order by using random number table to 2:1 proportion of 76 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and placebo group, 42 cases, a separate group of healthy control group of 30 cases of patients with simple obesity .2 course of treatment is governed by diet. Treatment of the abdomen to navel as the center to take 12 points and with the lower limbs Liang Qiu (bilateral), the full three years (unilateral), Yin Ling Quan (unilateral) points. observe the 2 groups before and after treatment the body mass index (BMI), abdominal subcutaneous fat layer and double layer of thigh subcutaneous fat area (CT Scan below) score changes. [Results] After treatment, group 2 patients with simple obesity BMI and abdominal subcutaneous fat layer, double layer of thigh subcutaneous fat area compared with before treatment, the differences were significant (P lt;0.01). The 2 groups of patients before and after treatment of simple obesity BMI, abdominal subcutaneous fat layer and double layer of thigh subcutaneous fat area and the healthy control group, the difference was significant (P lt;0.01). [Conclusion] Acupuncture can reduce the patients with simple obesity BMI, abdominal subcutaneous fat layer and double layer of thigh subcutaneous fat area, suggesting that this therapy has some therapeutic effect of simple obesity, but not able to patients with simple obesity indexes to normal range that the use of simple acupuncture treatment of simple obesity is limited.
