Methods Analgesic effects of TFL were observed with pain model mice induced with hot plate, writhing response induced with acetic acid and mouse formalin test. The content of PGE 2 was measured in mouse formalin test. Results TFL capsules could not elevate the pain threshold, but could inhibit writhing response and second phase of formalin test in mice, decreased the concentration of PGE2 in mouse formalin test. Conclusion TFL capsules has obvious analgesic effects, which was related to its inhibitory effects on peripheral inflammatory mediators PGE2.
