[Abstract] Objective To study the coma patients with lower respiratory tract infection risk factors, and to take appropriate measures to reduce infection rates of care. Methods A prospective clinical study will be in June 1999 ~ January 2005 admitted ICU patients with a total of 104 cases of coma, according to whether the artificial airway is divided into two groups, and to remove the original chronic respiratory disease and lower respiratory tract has occurred infection, two groups were introduced from time to time turn over, tapping the lungs and other respiratory care. The results of artificial airway group infection rate was 85.07%, non-artificial airway group infection rate was 35.14%, two sets of data by statistical analysis, P amp;lt;0.05, the difference was significant. Conclusion tracheal intubation and tracheotomy, etc. The establishment of artificial airway, destruction of natural barriers of the respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract infection is a risk factor.
