Danish Red Cross Job Description (when the position has been filled write the name of the incumbent here) Position Title: Relief resilience Delegate Region: West and Central Africa Duty Station: Bamako, Mali Head of Region: Troels Mikkelsen Other manager if relevant: Hector Palacios, Country Coordinator (for issues pertaining to the partnership with the Mali Red Cross) Date Completed: February 17th 2014 Purpose To support the Mali Red Cross (MRC) with the implementation of the DRC relief and resilience programme in the Mopti Region in Mali as per the project outline (attached). Special focus will be on 1) Food Security through food distribution or cash transfer and on 2) Economic Security through capacity building and support for income generating projects in order to strengthen the community resilience. The delegate will also be responsible for the overall coordination of the programme components Key responsibilities and time consumption in % Main tasks List one key responsibility in each box on the left hand side. For each responsibility add the estimated time consumption in % Extra boxes may be added below Act as team leader for the relief/resilience project in Mopti, Mali Support in the hiring of local staff and coordinate and manage assigned local staff. Assist in the assessments and detailed planning of the project (distributions, in-come generating projects) Assist in the identification of the beneficiaries both for the food items and/or cash transfer distributions (IDPs and vulnerable families in host communities) and in come generating projects (vulnerable families in host communities) and resilience components Support MRC in setting up the pipeline for the food items and/or cash transfer distributions support including procurement and logistics Support MRC in setting up the distribution of the food items and/or cash transfer distributions Assure capacity building for
