Abstract
Background:Detectionoffalse-positivemotifsisoneofthemaincausesoflowperformanceindenovoDNA
motif-findingmethods.Despitethesubstantialalgorithmdevelopmenteffortinthisarea,recentcomprehensive
benchmarkstudiesrevealedthattheperformanceofDNAmotif-findersleavesroomforimprovementinrealistic
scenarios.
