Asimpleande?ectivemethodforthefabricationofporousnano?bersbasedonthesolventevaporationmethodsinone-step electrospinning process from the commercial polyvinyl butyral (PVB) is presented. The obtained nano?bers are prevalently 2 amorphouswithdiametersrangingfrom150to4350nmandspeci?csurfaceareaofapproximately2–20m /g.Poresizewith irregularshapeoftheporousPVB?bersrangedapproximatelyfrom50to200nm.Thee?ectsofpolymersolutionconcentration, compositionofthesolventsmixture,andappliedvoltageon?berdiameterandmorphologywereinvestigated.Thetheoretical approachforthechoiceofpoorandgoodsolventsforPVBwasexplainedbytheapplicationHansensolubilityparameter(HSP) andtwo-dimensionalgraph.ThreebasicconditionsfortheproductionofporousPVBnano?berswerede?ned:(i)application ofgood/poorsolventmixtureforspinningsolution,(ii)di?erencesoftheevaporationratebetweengood/poorsolvent,and(iii) correctratiosofgood/poorsolvent(v/v).ThediameterofpreparedporousPVB?bersdecreasedasthepolymerconcentration wasloweredandwithhigherappliedvoltage.Thesenano?bersheetswithporousPVB?berscouldbeagoodcandidateforhigh- e?ciency?ltermaterialsincomparisontosmooth?berswithoutpores. 1.Introduction Aninteresting?ndingisthattheuseofevaporationof solventsyieldspolymer?berswitharelativelyregularporous structure.Theregularphasemorphol
