Methods:WemeasuredserumpepsinogensI(PGI)andII(PGII),gastrin17(G-17),andantibodiesagainstwholeH.pylori ,or cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA) antigen among 309 consecutive patients in two major endoscopy clinics in northeasternIran.UpdatedSydneySystemwasusedashistologygoldstandard.Areasundercurves(AUCs),optimalcutoff andpredictivevalueswerecalculatedforserumbiomarkersagainstthehistology.
