Methodology:Thesamestandardizedandpre-testedquestionnaireswereadministeredtotheheadsof182randomlyselected householdsin25villagesintheregionofMan,westernCo?ted’Ivoire,shortlybeforeandafterthe2002/2003armedconflict. PrincipalFindings:Therewasnodifferenceincrowdingasmeasuredbythenumberofindividualspersleepingroom,but theinadequate sanitation infrastructure prior totheconflict further worsened,andthe availability anduseof protective measures against mosquito bites and accessibility to health care infrastructure deteriorated. Although the direct causal chainbetweenthesefindingsandtheconflictareincomplete,partiallyexplainedbytheverynatureofworkinginconflict areas,thetimingandproceduresofthesurvey,othersourcesandanecdotalevidencepointtowardarelationshipbetween anincreasedriskofsufferingfromNTDsandmalariaan
