Background:Despitehavingaccesstomedicallynecessarycareavailablethroughpubliclyfundedprovincialhealth
caresystems,someCanadianstravelfortreatmentprovidedatinternationalmedicalfacilitiesaswellasfor-profit
clinicsfoundinseveralCanadianprovinces.Canadianstravelabroadfororthopaedicsurgery,bariatricsurgery,
ophthalmologicsurgery,stemcellinjections,“Liberationtherapy”formultiplesclerosis,andadditionalinterventions.
