[Abstract] New Curriculum for High School English teaching philosophy, teaching goals, teaching methods put forward new demands to high school English teachers to introduce the new concept of education and teaching, according to the cognitive characteristics of high school students and learning development needs, and gradually develop students English proficiency. This paper analyzes the New Curriculum High School English Teaching in errors, pointing out that implementation of the new curriculum reform is the key to spiritual teachers, a comprehensive change in high school English teacher teaching ideas and constantly improve their own quality of teachers is a new key to the success of curriculum reform.

A high school English teaching Misunderstanding
1. Self-learning and cooperative learning becomes a mere formality
New Curriculum highlights the ‘main body of student learning, develop creativity and practical ability of students’ new ideas, so that students can self-study and the cooperation and exchanges in English curriculum, teaching reform’s main focus. In almost all of the English class, we can see the self-learning and cooperative learning in the form, which shows teachers have been consciously introduced this form of the classroom. However, careful observation reveals that some teachers in the classroom, self-learning and cooperative learning is a form of lack of substantial autonomy and cooperation. Following main features:
(1) self-study can not truly achieve the self-study results.
