Nancy Mitford Outline Brief introduction Style Works The Mitford Sisters Torcello Born: November 28, 1904, London, England Died: January 30, 1973(aged 68), Versailles(凡尔赛), France She is an English novelist, biographer and journalist. She is noted for her witty novels of upper-class life. She was born into an English noble family and brought up in London. She was the most famous one of the six Mitford Sisters. She didnt receive any formal education, which resulted in her humor in some degree. She moved to Paris at the end of the Second World War and later to Versailes in 1967. She had three failed love experiences and she had no children, but she succeed in writing. At first, she wrote just to kill time but when her fifth novel The Pursuit of Love became the best-seller at that time, she realized the economic independence.
