Vital wheat gluten is widely used in pasta , meat , aquatic products , health food and baby food. In 2010，Chinas annual production of wheat gluten has reached about 300, OOOt. The production of vital wheat gluten consumes a large amount of wheat , electricity and water， while generating wastewater . The process of resource recovery and utilization ( biogas ) in wastewater treatment was introduced with examples . The effect of resource recovery was analyzed , which provided the reference for resource recovery and energy saving in wheat gluten industry .
