It explores the signii cance of ‘harmonizing method’ from ‘harmonizing i ve zang-organs’ in making a prescription based on the treatment principle of CHD. The result shows that the etiology and pathogenesis of the CHD were the disorder of qi and blood circulation, phlegm and blood stasis obstructing the heart meridian, and malnutrition of heart spirit and blood. The treatment of the disease was under the principle of harmonizing qi and blood, and the medication of the disease was under the principle of ‘harmonizing method’ to regulate body, and then reach the best condition with ‘natural harmony of yin- yang, harmonious l ow of qi and b
