Study and application of marine ecosystem health assessment software

Abstract :Based on the indicator system and evaluation model for marine ecosystem health assessment established by the Chinese off-
shore Investigation and Assessment Project ，an information system is designed and implemented by using database and object oriented
software programming technology ，which made the assessment process more automatic ，standard and scientific． Evaluating the investi-
gation data ，the software provided a system result of the ecosystem health in China＇s costal zone ，offshore area and key sea area． Base
on the evaluating results ，a lot of thematic maps are made ，which are most important materials for marine ecologic management and
decision-making．
