Abstract：Anewchargetransfercompound，-[Mn(dppmdo)3][(TCNQ)(DCBE)]1(dppmdo—
bis(diphylphospineoxide)methane，DCBE 一 一dicyanomethyl—benzoicmethylester)wassyn—
theszedfrom thereactionofM nC12·4H2O ，his(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm)，and7，
7，8，8-tetracyanoquinodimethane(TCNQ)．As-synthesizedproductwascharacterizedbymeans
ofX—ray crystallography，infrared spectrometry，ultraviolet—visible light—nearinfrared spec—
trometrv。andcyclicvoltammogram．Resultsindicatethatcompound1experienceslow—energy
transitionsinnear—infraredregion，whichcanbeattributedtotheintra—ligandtransitionsinvol—
vingradica1anions(TCNQ／TCNQ )．Besides，TCNQ in1iseasiertobereducedthanfree
TCNQ molecule．And theeffectivemagneticmomentof1atroom temperatureisashigh as
12．7 ，muchlargerthan4．58 ，theexpectedeffectivemagneticmomentoftheradicalcon—
sistingofonehighspinMn ion (S一 5／2)，oneTCNQ一(S二==1／2)anion，andoneDCBE一
(S 一 1／2)anion，whichindicatesthatthereexiststrongmagneticinteractionsamongMn“
complex([Mn(dppmdo)3] )，TCNQ—andDCBE—ions．
