M ethods 63 patientsw ith type 2 d iabetesmellitus (DM ) w ere di vided into 2 groups according to the value of urinary album in excretion rate (UAER): ∀ smi pleDM group ( SDM, UAER 2 g/m in), 22 cases; # early diabetic nephropathy ( EDN, UAER2 ~ 2 g/m in), 41 cases. The plas m a level of 8isoPGF2w asm easured in the type 2 DM patients of 2 groups and 31 norm al controls( NC) by ELISA. Results ∀ The plasm a level of 8isoPGF2in patientsw ith SDM, EDN and NC groups were( 3945 ! 1 41) pg/ml( 5627 ! 2118) pg/ml and( 2927 ! 667) pg/m ,l respectively. Significant d ifference w as found among the 3 groups (F= 139 7, P 1) # Compared toNC group, the level of 8isoPGF2w asm arkedly h igh in SDM and EDN groups (P 5,P 1) Furthermore, the level of 8isoPGF2w as higher in EDN than SDM (P = 1) ∃ Therew as a sign ificant positive correlation betw een 8isoPGF2andHbA 1c( r= 349, P = 12) Conclusion The p lasm a level of 8isoPGF2was sign ificantly elevated in EDN.
