English is the most popular language. The aim of learning English is to communicate with others. Listening is the first important step in language communication, because it is the main method for people to understand each other. This paper, in view of the influential factors of teaching middle school students’ English listening, put forwards some effective tactics for the English teachers to develop and improve their students’ listening ability in English teaching.
