University Teachers photo Gail Olenlan a recent TV News reported that the local school system employs a group of university professors near a university, ask them to help improve the teaching level of community public schools. The task of the professors is to inspect the classroom, analyze the skills of the teachers, and then conduct seminars to help teachers improve their work efficiency. However, after the first round of seminars, the Secretary of Education decided to cancel the whole project. He dismissed the learned professors and sent them back to their ivory tower. Why does the plan fail? The reason is simple. The university professors are said to be more effective in teaching public school teachers how to teach classes, but they themselves are poor teachers. Many college students anticipate such disastrous results. They know by direct contact that college teachers are eccentric. They know that professors often exhibit strange behavior, and that it is difficult for students to teach students without drowsiness, or that it is difficult to learn anything even if they do not sleep. There is a professor who believes that her role is to impart a great deal of knowledge she has acquired to students, which is perfectly reasonable. But because such intellectuals see themselves as experts and treat her students as a group of ignorant people, she adopts an elitist approach that destroys learning.
