1., the question raised

Viaduct has been widely used in urban roads. In order to ensure the safety of viaduct operation, surveyors often need to monitor the piers of viaduct. These piers are usually large and tall cylindrical, mostly located where the car cannot reach. We are measuring the inclination of the pier, can not use such tools such as fire arm to set the observation marks, usually only set up two working points on both sides of pier about 90 degrees direction, measured by direction intersection method. This method has shortcomings: one is the observation of heavy workload; two is in no obvious sign of the case, two located at the pier center intersection can not overlap together, will produce measurement errors; three is due to non redundant observation, the observation results carry out accuracy analysis. In view of this situation, we have thought of using prism free total station to measure the inclination of pier column.
2. measuring the inclination of viaduct pier column by means of total station without prism
